Each Can Walk

“Each Can Walk” is a Charity Campaign for donate a Wheel Chair to needy handicap people.

In developing nations where poverty pervades, the World Health Organization estimates that 70 million people are in dire need of a wheelchair yet lack the resources to obtain one.

Already suffering from the pain, isolation and indignity of a physical disability, many of these people must endure further burdens; many are forced to live on the ground or to wait to be carried to meet their most basic of needs. Poverty, disease, malnutrition, armed conflict, and lack of proper medical care are all major causes of disability in the developing world.

Poverty, however, is the biggest issue. Without money to seek medical attention, simple injuries like broken bones go untreated. Birth defects tend to be more common, and home child delivery is more frequent, which can lead to more complications during childbirth. PECT is a non-profit organization leading a Special Support Campaign “Each Can Walk” to create awareness of the needs and abilities of people with physical disabilities, to promote the joy of giving, create global friendship, and to deliver a wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in the society who needs one, but cannot afford one.

As this year is an initial point of this campaign, PECT organized 2 charitable programmes during this year on 20/12/2016 at Bakhalvad and Jasdan. PECT provides 4 wheelchairs to needy people under this campaign, free of cost. The Campaign is funded by the foreign delegates of PECT, Shri Thakorbhai B. Bhagat and Smt. Jasuben Thakorbhai Bhagat (London – U.K.).
